Josh Morris – Fishing Report 050117

What a beautiful spring so far! The fishing has been good and continues to be. The warm days ha brought the spawn into full swing. Actually a lot of fish are done. This has them a bit scattered but still catchable.

Bass are still being caught shallow. The frye guarding will begin this week I think and those fish are always fun to catch. Soft plastics and crankbaits are good. Also top water can be a great choice if you find the fry.

Crappie are still scattered but can be caught around wood l. Live minnows and road runners seem to be working.

Catfish hit the bluffs with night crawlers or shrimp under a float.

I hope everyone has a great week! Good luck and God Bless.

Easton Frazier broke his personal best with a 5.10 Barren River Lake chunk. He and his partner Cade Waldrop got sixth place on Saturday.
